Ryan Gear is the founder of Elevation Collective. Employing 15 years of experience as an entrepreneurial pastor, small business owner, blogger, and professional development director, Ryan walks alongside influential leaders to raise the level of fundraising, branding, and marketing in their organizations.

In addition to consulting, Ryan serves as development director in a growing health and human services nonprofit charitable organization. Ryan draws from his experience in the worlds of nonprofit charitable organizations, churches, and small business and believes that all three benefit from the knowledge of the others. He specializes in donor-centered fundraising, unique and inspiring branding, and the latest best practices in marketing.

In addition to his development experience, Ryan is the founder of One Church, an influential nondenominational church in Chandler, Arizona and the founder of openmindedchurch.org, a growing national directory of churches willing to thoughtfully wrestle with questions and doubts. He previously served as a pastor in the United Methodist Church. He is a regular contributor to Huffington Post Religion and has been featured twice in Real Clear Religion.

Ryan is also an initiator in the OPEN Network, a collective of churches, organizations, leaders and networks who seek a just and generous expression of the Christian faith.

He holds a BA in Religion from Mount Vernon Nazarene University and a Master of Divinity degree from Ashland Theological Seminary.
